Assignment: America

After flying from Hobart, Tasmania to my old haunt of Boston, USA I hit the road for 3,200 miles and 60 hours of American highway between rural New Hampshire and Missoula, Montana.

I’m here in Missoula for photographic master-classes with some of the worlds best photographers . . . and I’m on the road in America looking for something. Here’s some of what I’ve found so far.

Chelsea Parsons - Hey Thomas

Had a GREAT time at the seminar/workshop yesterday. Im excited to start using flash a bit more! Wish I had talked with you more about the US! My husband Dave and I (and kids) lived in Upstate NY for 5 years. Been back in Tassie nearly 2 yrs now. Loved being there. Even visited your home city of Boston a few times. Your photos are brilliant. I have enjoyed cruising through your photoblog.

Hope to see ya around soon, ChelseaOctober 6, 2009 – 7:52 am

Thomas - Thanks Chelsea! I had a great time yesterday too and wished I had talked to you more as well.

I *LOVE* mixing flash and ambient and was lucky enough to study (with Steve, above) under People Magazine photog Allison Leach – http://www.allisonleach.com/home.htm – and uber-guru-control-freak, Joe Lavine – http://www.lavinephoto.com/.

To see more of my work check out my portfolio here – http://www.thomasmoorephotography.com/.
